AI Education Without Barriers.
Powered by Experience AI (Raspberry Pi Foundation) and implemented by AREAi.

AI should feel possible
Experience AI is an educational programme that offers cutting-edge resources on artificial intelligence and machine learning for teachers and students aged 11-14. Developed in collaboration by the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Google DeepMind, the programme supports teachers in the exciting and fast-moving area of AI, and gets young people passionate about the subject.

Experience AI is supporting a global movement to make AI education accessible, relevant, and empowering for young people everywhere.
Teachers are building confidence to teach AI effectively, while students are developing the skills to understand, question, and apply AI in their lives.
This growing impact reflects both the demand for AI literacy and the importance of high-quality, accessible resources.
Beginning with
Four Cities
AREAi is one of the delivery partners for the Raspberry Pi Foundation's Experience AI programme, developed with Google DeepMind, through which we are extending AI literacy to the displaced and underserved learners across camps and communities at the centre of our programming.
Running from June 2026 across Borno, Adamawa, Benue and the Federal Capital Territory, the intervention localises all 11 Experience AI lessons into Hausa and delivers them through a three-tier cascade.
4 Expert Trainers drawn from our FOUNDAMENTA coach pool will train 450 educators across four hubs in Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi and Abuja, who in turn reach 16,000 young people, an estimated 100 percent of them from underserved communities, in classes delivered through the offline-first, hub-and-spoke model.
We plan to expand to more cities and communities in the subsequent cohorts.
